I really enjoyed this post! As somebody who has done some of their best work in a time crunch, I can definitely appreciate your thinking here. However, there are some tasks that always will take up more time than we would like no matter how long we wait to start them.

The amount of mental capacity and time you take up thinking about starting a project, the more you are wasting. Time on “work in process” if often a forgotten waste.

In education, I think Parkinson’s Law applies directly as busy work and standardized testing (many institutions require teachers to have a quota of instruction hours and grades in order to pass students)!
