I would hope all leaders would take to heart the power that resonates through a facility where people are respected and praised for the value they bring.

In coaching young people in sports, in raising kids, and in leading adults I’ve found nothing better that creating a powerful vision of direction, and then positively reinforcing every movement in that direction.

My h.s. soccer coach was the first person to challenge my twin bro and I to push to the limits on fitness to leverage the technical skills he drilled in us every day. Those triple sessions in the heat of August in VT I will never forget. His coaching style was well ahead of his time – he ran a college prep program. When we got to St. Lawrence we were well-prepared technically and physically to handle the next level. We still stay in touch.

My HS football coach was an important mentor to me. He taught me to always give 100%, have a positive attitude and never give up…….life lessons. I still keep in touch with him to this day. Thanks for the blog, a reminder to give him a call and schedule a dinner.
