I cringe when I hear healthcare leaders talk about “holding staff accountable,” since they really mean blaming them for performance that the system is not capable of, like you said. Everybody in healthcare deserves better. When healthcare professionals are bullied by Theory X leaders, everybody suffers, including patients.
