When I spoke to my old boss about the rate of change being absolutely glacial I was told that things were slowly improving and I should be patient. I said to him that business is like riding on a train. You look outside and see the terrain going by and you think you are making progress. Then another train, your competition, roars by in the same direction, and looking out the window you can see that in relative terms you are actually going backwards!
